Abby arrived with two brand new bottom teeth and no firm position on whether apples are for eating or throwing. She tried both.
Her mum asked for one thing. A photo with those two teeth in it. We had it in the first few minutes.
Then we did the part that has nothing to do with apples. Mum with her, Dad with her, all three of them together. Nothing posed, nothing fussy, just those long open looks between them that you only get at eight months old.
The apple photos will make them laugh. The ones of the three of them, and of each of them with Abby, are the ones they’ll all still love, and value the most, in twenty years time.
Abby’s session was part of our ABC book project for The Kids’ Cancer Project.
