Our Story
Hi! We’re the team at Lilypad Photography, a Perth portrait studio for families, babies and the dogs who are part of the family too.
We understand what most parents want: natural, beautiful photos of their family. But many also worry their kids won’t cooperate, or that family photos will feel awkward rather than joyful.
That’s where we come in. We’re expert grin-getters and we know how to make photo sessions relaxed and genuinely fun.
You won’t be standing there trying to convince your kids to smile. We take care of that with a well-tested mix of games, corny jokes and a sprinkle of toilet humour.
So you can relax.
And your’re IN the photos too.
Why Lilypad?
We’ve been photographing Perth families for over 18 years, and the thing that never gets old is watching people relax into it. Most clients arrive a little nervous, wondering if the kids will cooperate, whether the dog will sit still, whether they’ll know what to do. Within ten minutes, none of that matters. That’s not an accident. It’s how we run every session.
We lead you through the whole thing. You don’t need to pose, perform, or come with a plan. We bring the plan. What you bring is your family, messy and real and exactly as they are, and we do the rest.

Hi there! I’m Lisa Ivandich – Photographer, chief memory maker, lover of good coffee, naps, and perfectly imperfect Mum of two hoomans and one furbaby!
I create photos you will LOVE and capture the unforgettable moments that tell your family’s story, your way.
Because nothing fills my heart more than families sharing beautiful and meaningful moments and spending quality time together.
My goal is to simply create authentic moments where you’re relaxed, having fun and looking amazing . . . and then capture those memories.
Sure Lisa, that sounds all well and good, but have you met my crazy kids (or husband/pets/teenager/toddler)? Don’t worry. I’ve got you. I’m a mum of two myself and I get it and I’ve been photographing families for over 15 years and have a trick or two up my sleeve for getting a smile out of even the trickiest or most stubborn family members.
I am passionate about ensuring your family’s story is documented with beautiful photographs that you will treasure now, and even more so years from now.
AND just as importantly I want to make sure YOU exist in your family’s story too.
My love for photography goes back a long way. Mum was always the one with the camera in her hands, snapping photos of my sister, brother, and me as we grew up. First smiles. First steps. First birthdays. First days at school. Mum and her camera were always there. It wasn’t long before my love affair with photography began and we had two “happy snappers” in the house.
When I was 24, my Mum unexpectedly passed away.
Looking back through those treasured family photo albums, I realised that the great photos of her and I together were few and far between. One of us was always taking the photo.
What I wouldn’t give to change that.
While I can’t go back in time and take more photos of my Mum and myself, I can start with you and your family.
This is why I do what I do.
My mission is to ensure EVERY family in Perth has beautiful family photographs that document their life story as their family changes.

Maegan
Originally from Fiji, Maegan brings some chilled island flair to the studio. Her specialty is photographing Newborns, so you will often find her capturing the precious little details of your newest arrival in our studio.
Maegan is also a incredible professional paddler and often spends her late afternoons on the ocean with her team. She loves reading, eating delicious healthy vegetarian food and going for walks along the beach!
Susan
If you call the studio, there’s a good chance I’ll be the voice on the other end. I’m the one who helps you with your bookings and answers your questions.
You’ll often find me at the beach with my Pomsky, Luna, soaking up the sun and sea breeze. I also love photography, spending time with my family, a good book, and weekend adventures.

Giving back is part of who we are at Lilypad. Through our portrait projects, we proudly support The Kids’ Cancer Project and Dogs Behind Bars Rescue, with a percentage of every project sale donated to help fund childhood cancer research and give rescue dogs a second chance.
