She has arrived, this wonderful family we last met at their family maternity session, have become four. Such a sweet little girl, and what a proud Mum and big sister.

I met up with this gorgeous family a few weeks ago for one of my simplicity mini sessions.  Often clients use these sessions to get some updated stunning portraits of their children with out all the fuss of a full session allowing them to regularly have beautiful portraits taken as their children grow.  This family used had another need, a really great family portrait, they already had loads of the children but lacked some really good images of the whole family, too often someone is always behind instead of in front the of the camera, yes guilty as charged here!  Don’t forget to make sure you have some stunning portraits with you in them, looking back on my childhood now I really value those family images with Mum and Dad as much, if not more, than those with just me.  Lilypad’s simplicity mini sessions are the perfect way to fill the gaps in your family history.

I met this wonderful family for a fun afternoon at the swan view cuddly animal farm for a maternity photography session with a difference.  The family have loved visiting the cuddly farm so it was the perfect choice to capture this special time.  I love doing location maternity sessions for second or third babies, it’s a great time to not only capture a some images to remember the pregnancy but to capture some gorgeous updated portraits of the big sister or brothers to be, to spend a little time that’s all about them, before their new best friend arrives.

This gorgeous little man came to the Lilypad Studio a few weeks ago for his newborn portraits.  His Mum and Dad waited a long time for this little man to join their family, judging by the smiles, I’d say he was pretty happy to finally be here as well.  It was such a pleasure to photograph this contented little boy, easily one of my happiest and most content newborns.

It’s been a little quite on here lately, but don’t worry it’s only because it’s been crazy behind the scenes!  Get ready for another batch of gorgeous previews, I’ve had THE most smiley babies in the studio and I can’t wait to share with you all with their squeezy goodness : ), be warned those smiles are catching!

In the mean time I’d thought I’d share a picture of just some of this weeks work all packaged and ready to be collection so to take their rightful place in some lucky families memories.

A few weeks ago, I was honoured to photograph this lovely family. Their “baby” is about to leave the nest and move to Canberra for university. I couldn’t think of a more perfect time to update their family portraits. I grew up and went to university in Canberra as well, it sent me back years just talking about university life, with marriage and two small children and a few years travel under the belt since then, it seems almost a life time ago how much would I love to have some gorgeous family portraits to look back on this exciting time in my life.

These gorgeous twins were 100 days old when I photographed them, a very significant date for the Chinese.  They came a little early their adjusted age is a little less than 100 days.  I love photographing twins, even at the youngest of ages their bond is something truly special.  These two cherubs would link hands when ever we put them together, they even linked toes, it just melts your heart doesn’t it!

This gorgeous little lade came to me when she was six weeks old for some gorgeous newborn portraits.  I love love love that sweet little smile.

I was excited to be photographing this wonderful family a few weeks ago, even more when I learnt their address as they were only a few houses up my street and around the corner!  The boys were great fun to capture, keeping me on my toes!  I managed to capture the sweet smiling family images, but I have to say this first image is my favourite – it’s one of those images that makes me giggle when I’m proofing my sessions.\

Last week I spent a wonderful afternoon capturing this family before they become four, and move house!  Such a gorgeous family and a beautiful house they have renovated.  I can’t wait to meet the newest member in a few weeks time.  The proud big sister to be insisted I stay after the session to take one more picture of her, because her Daddy can throw her so so soo high in the pool.  It was more than worth the wait!
